Well...after a very sudden, scary, close call...3 surgeries later, and a week and a half stay in hospital...our first child, a son, was born Sunday 14th June 3:41pm at 33 weeks, weighing 1.9kg, and 45cm in length. He will be in the Special Care Nursery for the next few weeks, but is doing extremely well! Thank-you all for your congrats and support these past few weeks! Both Michael and I have really appreciated it! I look forward to resuming music lessons with you all from Term 4, and can't wait to share my love of music with our son, Bailey (who's already been enjoying the music lessons, prior to his sudden arrival, from within my tummy). Believe in music!!!

I hope you're all settling into Term 2 ok, and that all of you mothers out there had a wonderful 'Mother's Day' this weekend just passed.  I can't wait until my first "official" 'Mother's Day' next year!!!  In regards to 'Kindermusik' and 'Kinder Beat' classes and my pregnancy.  classes won't be resuming until Term 4 of this year (after bub has been born next term....only 12 weeks to go!!!!).  I apologise for any inconveniences, and thank everyone for their ongoing concern, advice, and support (AND PATIENCE!!!).  Enquiries and bookings can still be made prior to this time by phoning 3886 9002 or by emailing me at starshinemusicstudio@gmail.com, as places can often fill up fast.  So, book in early for Term 4 to avoid missing out!  Private tuition involving singing, beginner piano, and music theory lessons are currently running throughout Term 2, and will also resume again from Term 4 (after one term's leave).  Keep in touch, and i look forward to meeting you all soon!  Regards, Leia.

  I trust that you're all well. Just a few updates regarding music lessons, classes, etc.  As our 1st bub is due in Term 3 of this year (YAY!) there will be no music lessons, classes, etc. of any kind during that term.  I apologise for any inconveniences during that time!  All lessons, classes, etc., however, will resume again from Term 4. 

Early Childhood Classes Update -

As some of you are aware, I've been restricted to only teaching my private one-on-one music students from my home studio for these past few weeks (and not been allowed to teach my early childhood classes, or teach primary music at schools) due to some earlier concerns with my pregnancy.  I will advise asap over the next few weeks as to whether I'm able to resume my other work commitments (including 'Kindermusik' and 'Kinder Beat') for Term 2.  If not, then those classes will resume again from Term 4.  You may still register your interest in attending these classes, by completing the online enrolment form (found on this website), or by emailing starshinemusicstudio@gmail.com.  Again, I apologise for any inconveniences, and thank you for your understanding.

  Well...for my continuing students and parents...as of last Sunday 18th January, I am no longer Miss Leia Tunney.  After a beautiful wedding ceremony and lunch reception, held at 'Tranquil Park Moutain Resort' (Maleny), I became Mrs Leia Knibb (pronounced 'Nib').  Hooray!  Thank-you to everyone who passed on their congrats and well wishes!!!  They have been very much appreciated by both Michael and I!  I look forward to catching up with you all at your first lesson.  Can't wait to hear how everyone's improved their skills over the break!
